After the last MMM and a "DRG clubday", Kashei, Hannibalito and Perun got some TLC.

Hannibalito. A small but persistent leak between main bottle and buffertank became a large leak.
A new buffertank and some changes in piping. Problem solved.
Fitted with a 40A fuse and drives that have every bolt Loctite'd it looks that the issue with failing drive is gone.

Kashei. Except a lot of lose bolts and some wear and tear on the weapongears mechanical nothing special to report. Loctite applied and let see how it will go in the future.
Self removing link. Added a retainer to the link hatch to solve this.

Perun. The big changes are the replacement of the Scorpion XL with an IBF4.5 and the 3S 4000mAh hardcase LiPo to a "common" 3S 2200mA LiPo. Some small changes to increase user friendly maintenance and ready for the next event.

Plans for the future. Resurrection of Nebelwerfer....

Thanks Reiner, to change the fuseholder on Peruns ESC.

In the mean time, Hannibalito is on life support after the gruesome beating it recieved. But he will recover.
    The good news.

    • The frame and frontal hardox plate and drives are in good shape.
    • The ram was ripped lose from the mounting bolts, but that's already repaired, with improvements.

    The bad news.

    • Buffertank and connecting tubes are ripped appart.
    • 12mm HDPE armor ain't enough anymore.

Thanks Reiner, to change the fuseholder on Peruns ESC.

Habe ich gerne gemacht. Ich musste die Verbindungen zum Akku und den Motoren auch nicht lösen, davor hatte ich etwas Angst, dass ich die nachher nicht mehr zusammen bekomme.

Today Leo and me took Hannibalito from Life Support and did some cosmetic surgery.

First idea was to rebuild the armor completely. But after checking the damage, it wasn't that bad. Just the 2 front corners that were deeply scratched. It just looked horrible before cleaning.
So we smoothed out the damage, and grafted some new 12mm HDPE over the deep scratches.

For good measure and improvement, an experiment with bend Hardox was done and now Hannibalito has a moustache.

A new flipperarm was made, and a few copies are precut.

    PIctures will follow.

    Next bit.
Welding up the skingrafts and start on Kashei.

Nebelwerfer is waiting on a good lighting storm to be resurrected

Better than new we hope. Those corner reinforcements are probably needed as the spinners won't stop improving.

Kashei is also back to the living, and stand ready for Ghent.

Nebelwerfer. We had a freak lightning storm, and we can sayk, Its Alive... ALIVE.
That monster won't be pretty, and with the smallest disk yet.

FACTS wasn't kind to Team RCC.

Hannibalito 3 wasn't doing anything. First the ram ripped itself from the mounting bolts by tearing off solid chunks of ram bottom ali. After fixing that, the drive started to fail, ending up with smoked motors. I guess 10 years of use will result in fatigue.

Kashei. The least said, the better. It seems a certain part of the axe doesn't want to perform whatever we do.

Perun. Here we suffered a series of minor and 1 mayor problem.
First. Self removing fuse. The 40A fuse could come out under the strain, and without a fuse, it's dead Jim.
    Second. Self Removing link.
Last, with 30mm+ HDPE armor, a hardox scoop able to digest blows from middleweights, the motors developed a case of pureed magnets.

Nebelwerfer 4. Not bad for a first event. Just minor issues. But the armor needs a rebuild after a few fights with Otis.

Don't worry Reiner, we solved the self removing fuse with a simple solution. Gaffa...

Also, with the lessons learned, we're going to solder maxi-fuseholders to our 4.5's, and use 50A fuses.
