The lathe is in Germany. That's the whole point.

Our stable of Raptors has now 2 Peruns running. And Nebelwerfer still goes strong.
All drives are brushless, Perun 2 got a small upgrade to TPpower 2920 10Y motors to replace the bigger self-unscrewing purple HK's.
Perun 3 is using exactly the same drivbes as Kasirga....

We're also struggling mounting the 1/8" pinions to powerfull motors in good gearboxes. Press fit, Loctite 638, 2K glue or other combinations all fail once you get into the 200W real power consumed.
Grippy tires and fast reacting ESC's can do that. Now attempting soldering. But as far, not a real succes.

5mm shaft in a 28mm motor. Sounds like a job for TPpower, and yes, that's €100 for a custom motor.
-
Kasirga used a NTM 4238 during FACTS. No problem there, not even after the fire.
-
An extra fan to cool a motor or ESC, not worth the effort according to our experience. We used one in Valkiri 2, and it was broken after each fight.
Also, 80°C feels burning hot, but is inside the working temperature limit of most electric motors. That is why we had a laser thermometer in our toolbox.
Had, as it isn't an issue up to date. -

I had a look into it.
The only real damages are the weapon ESC and the HDPE bottom plate. The rest is just clean-up. -

Yes, there are more pictures.

Kasirga Lives.

Nebelwerfer used the cheapo 3650 from Hobbyking, and smoked at least one motor each event. We went to the TP Power 3620 10Y , and are still running the Original one.

Is it a live shaft? Looks not.

It's tiny. 120mm max diameter and the disk itself is 15mm thick.
-
Not yet. There should be a piccy of the disk on Facebook somewere, protected and all.

Emergency build for FACTS. Name of the Machine. Kasirga.
Brushless drive from Kashei. Loads of Hardox from Kcut. Some aluminium and even 3D printed parts. -
As a replacement for the NTM5060 you could look at the SK3 5055 380KV
And I do believe most of the roboteers would agree that Valkirie has enough weaponpower.

I buy my Vivoil pumps at the local hydraulics shop.
BTW, I do have a 0,25cc spare...
-
Simple option.
Limit the power output on the RX/TX set. Set the Throttle for drive on 50% and the motors won't fry. -
Why bother? Valkiri used 4S in competition. We measured the NTM taking up 120A. 1750W drawn power, good enough for me.
