We are also working on a new featherweight, trying to play at the fw champs 2016. It will be a simple pushing robot with goot armor and plenty of power. We even made our own gears for this one.

we use this rubber on otis and ODF to. It has very good grip on wood and you can make your wheels in every size you want.

gefällt mir das auch hier ein Ausführlicher Baubericht veröffentlicht wird, das schafft gleich Ideen für den Nachwuchs und man sieht auch wie man es machen kann, bleiben keine Fragen offen, "wie baut man eigentlich einen Roboter?"!
Today finished installing my new milling machine. It have a 3 phase motor with vfd drive. We also added a dro on it witch makes milling a lot easier.

Ein guter Entschluss. Bei meiner Fräse war der Regler für den Gleichstrom-Motor schon nach ein paar Stunden defekt. Nicht zu reparieren, weil von allen IC's und MOSFETs die Typbezeichnung abgekratzt worden war.
Schmunzeln musste ich, als ich auf dem Bild gesehen habe, dass Du oberhalb von dem Motor sogar das Regalbrett ausgeschnitten hast, damit der Motor oben nicht anstößt.

Ich wollte diesen PU-Gummi jetzt bestellen. Aber im Online-Bestellformular der Firma kann man als Ziel-Land nur "Nederland " und "Belgien" auswählen.

The build tread is not really complete due the shutdown of the forum.
Omega did a really great job on the robochallange 2016, we knocked out in the quarter final witch means we where there by the last 8 robots out of 40.
We didn't have any damage on the shell, there are still some things to tweak on the drive train especially on the bearing that keep the axis in place.
This machine has enormous pushing power, i think that on the DRG and GRA arena floor it even wil have more grip.
right now we are working on converting our old bf25 mill to cnc. some pictures of the build so far:

The last pictures in the posting where a little bit confusing for me. 
In the first thinking, it seems for a lifter of a bot. But then the look to your x-y-z-machine with manual movement,.... *click*
