DAMAGE REPORT PART 1:
Hopefully you watched Battlebots yesterday and saw our fight with @Bloodsport, we learned some painful lessons in this one that we didn't have to face during our first fight. Chris mentioned that we were actually more worried for this fight than our bout with Tombstone, this was because of the height that Bloodsport's bar hits at. We added the large wings to our wedge this season for exactly this fight, but it was almost unavoidable that we would have to take hits on the side of our weapon eventually, and matching our 40lb bar against their 80lb one is a scary thought. We started the match trying to box rush Bloodsport before it got up to speed, but Justin put down some good evasive driving, keeping us from engaging until we were both ready for it.
These early jabs looked like they were working well for us, End Game's blade was staying at speed and we were keeping bloodsport on the defensive, but it wasn't long before the punishment began to take a toll. In one of these hits our weapon was hit sideways off it's bearings, stripping all the screws on the bearing retainer, disconnecting one of the pulleys, and pushing our weapon over into the path of our own tensioner, after this you see End Game throwing sparks out the front of it's weapon occasionally during the match, and our weapon starts to slowly spin down.
A few seconds after this the final nail in the coffin lands, as we cross a killsaw slot our right-hand side drive suddenly jams to a stop, and the rear tire is ripped clean off our custom hubs and thrown clear of the robot. At the same time the front ESC dies completely, whether this was a result of damage from a fight, or just from the aggressive driving we were doing, we will never know. Our dual redundant drive systems were both left dead, or no longer in contact with the ground.
