Hallo!
Zur Abwechslung mal was Technisches:
Ich habe gerade eine Antwort von Paul Cooper ( Pneumatikreferent der FRA) erhalten, bezüglich der Problematik bezüglich Zertifizierung und Einsatz von Pneumatikkomponenten jenseits der Spezifikation (Selbstbauzylinder, Bürkert- Ventile, etc. ).
Ist nicht unwichtig bei künftigen Events:
Hello Helmet,
This question has been previously asked on the FRA forum and I have repeated my response below:
"There are a number of builders who have access to their employers pressure test facilities and can even produce certification. It would be acceptable for that builder to use this equipment providing the certification carries the employers mark. The pressure test should be at the pressure percentages quoted in the FRA build rules and I would consider a 5 minute duration at the test pressure as suitable. "
I have no question over your competency, if you can meet the above requirement then it is fine by me. I would expect the certificate to quote the national / international standard to which the pressure test has been conducted.
I sincerely hope this allows you to conduct the pressure tests.
Regards
Paul

Subject: Approval of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
Hi Paul!
I have a question about point 8.7.of the FRA- rules. Amost all of us german and austrian roboteers want to modify or build our robots now according to the FRA rules. Now we have a particular problem, certifiying the pneumatic equipment. To avoid hassles at further events, we want to test and and certify our pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
In this relation i will ask you, as the responsible pneumatic technician: due to many questions from different roboteers, can i test and certify the pneumatic and hydraulic equipment for other roboteers and also for myself and will you (and FRA) accept this certificate?
I have a professional, well equipped workshop for carrying out all kinds of pneumatic works, including test bench, etc., and also the permission from the austrian gouvernment for my business. Moreover, i´m the owner of the only norgren shop in austria, and sales representative for bürkert valves, metal work pneumatics, buschjost valves, herion hydraulics, ACE gas-springs and industrial shock absorbers.
I don´t expect any profit from this job, but it will make the life of us roboteers on the mainland a little bit easier, if you give me the permission for this job. If you want, i can send you copies (and translations) of my, EU- accepted, business legitimacies. Looking forward for a positive response
Regards
